We're Pushing Back Early Access Release (and That's a Good Thing)

Let's get straight to it: Wind Runners' Early Access, originally planned for September 23rd, is being delayed to 2027.

Why we're doing this

The demo went live, and honestly, we did not expect this volume of feedback. Thank you for that, genuinely. What stood out to us most, though, wasn’t just how much feedback we received, but how thoughtful it was. These weren’t just bug reports or positive reactions; a lot of it came in the form of real suggestions about the gameplay and what could make the dogfights even more satisfying.

And naturally, that sparked a lot of internal discussion. A lot of the ideas that came out of your feedback felt too good to set aside or squeeze in last-minute before a deadline.So we are taking this time to make a better game.

What this actually means

Delaying Early Access is not putting the game on pause. It's the opposite: it gives us the time to dig into the ideas we're genuinely excited about, without cutting corners just to hit a date. We'd rather ship an Early Access that starts from solid foundations than rush one out and have to patch it up afterward.

Right now, the team is:

reworking a few mechanics flagged through your demo feedback,
exploring several gameplay directions that came out of community discussions,
making sure what lands in Early Access truly reflects the direction we want for the game.

And of course, hard at work on all the content that'll make up a substantial Early Access.

Rather than sticking to the September date at all costs, we’ve chosen to give the team more time to improve and polish Wind Runners before Early Access.

We don’t have a new release date to announce yet, but we’ll keep sharing our progress along the way.
