This update focuses on improvements to character interactions, video playback, and several issues that could cause the game to freeze.
Improved the E-key interaction prompt
The E-key interaction prompt will now remain visible while the ESC menu is open.
Improved Osprey's small-talk interaction area
Osprey's interaction area for small talk has been adjusted and expanded.
You can now simply click directly on the character model to initiate small talk, instead of having to find a smaller interaction area.
[IMPORTANT] Improved video playback performance
Improvements have been made to address video stuttering that may occur on certain systems.
Three different Windows video playback modes are now available in Settings, allowing you to switch between them depending on your system:
Media Foundation: The recommended default option. Supports hardware decoding and generally offers a good balance of performance and compatibility on most Windows systems.
DirectShow: A legacy Windows playback mode that may provide better compatibility with certain video formats or codec configurations. Try this option if the default mode does not work properly.
WinRT: A newer Windows playback API with better support for streaming media. It can also be used as an alternative if you experience stuttering or compatibility issues with the default mode.
If you experience significant video stuttering, black screens, or other playback issues, please try switching to another playback mode in Settings to find the option that works best for your system.
Improved Trish's dialogue interaction area
Adjusted Tracy's dialogue interaction area to fix cases where initiating dialogue could be difficult.
Fixed game freezes under certain conditions
Fixed several situations that could cause the game to freeze, including certain cases in Vesper's room.
Fixed small-talk dialogue updates for Osprey / Ochira
Fixed an issue where their small-talk dialogue could sometimes fail to update correctly.
Text fixes
Fixed several typos and minor text errors.
