Hello Cosmonauts!
First and foremost: thank you. To everyone who has played Cosmo Tales and taken the time to share their thoughts, you have our sincere gratitude. We've been reading every review, forum thread, and bug report that has come our way. Your feedback isn't just appreciated. It's actively shaping our development roadmap right now. So let's talk about what we're working on and what's coming in the near future. If you have any concerns about the game, be sure to write us a review.
Optimization is our top priority at the moment. We're going through the game systematically to make sure Cosmo Tales runs as smoothly as possible across a wide range of hardware, not just high-end machines.
What we're currently focused on:
Frame rate stability: reducing stutters and frame drops, especially in larger, more open areas and during scene transitions
Memory and asset streaming: improving how the game loads and unloads content to reduce hitching
Shader compilation: cutting down on first-encounter stutter
Lower-end hardware support: refining graphics presets so players on modest setups still get a great experience
Our goal is simple. Cosmo Tales should feel smooth and responsive no matter what you're playing it on.
We hear you loud and clear. You want to take Cosmo Tales on the road, and honestly, we couldn't agree more.
The Steam Deck is a fantastic piece of hardware, and a game like Cosmo Tales, one you can pick up for a short session on the couch, on a train, or during a lunch break, feels like a natural fit for it. Being able to explore the cosmos from anywhere is exactly the kind of experience we want every Cosmonaut to have.
We are actively working toward Steam Deck Verified status. That means:
Controller support: making sure every menu, prompt, and interaction is fully navigable with the Deck's gamepad, with correct on-screen glyphs
Text readability: scaling up UI and text so nothing requires squinting on a 7-inch screen
Default graphics settings: tuning a Deck-optimized preset that balances visual quality with a stable frame rate and reasonable battery life
Launch behavior: eliminating any launcher pop-ups, compatibility warnings, or steps that get in the way of jumping straight into the game
Proton compatibility: testing thoroughly under SteamOS to catch platform-specific issues
We'll share more the moment we have concrete news on verification status.
Alongside optimization, we're deep into bug fixing. During internal testing we've identified a number of issues we want to clear up before they get in anyone's way. We've found that some sound effects are missing in certain parts of the game. Audio does a lot of quiet, invisible work in Cosmo Tales. So we're treating this as a priority. And if you run into anything at all, please let us know. Screenshots, a short description of where it happened, your save file, and your system specs help us enormously. The Steam forums and our community channels are the best place to reach us.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Cosmo Tales is getting better because of you.
See you among the stars, Cosmonauts. 🌌
