It has been a few very loud very baby-filled days.
Since we announced BREAKOUT BABY and launched the demo many of you have played, wishlisted, reviewed or streamed the game. Here are some comments we liked:
The masculine urge to rescue a baby from the layers of hell.
The baby is weirdly cute.
Chad baby ngl.
I must protect that baby with my life.
Dark Deception’s weird cousin on LSD.
This is how my parents describe them raising me.
That’s like mixing The Binding of Isaac and Pac-Man together.
I played the demo and cried because I kept losing. I was so immersed that I felt like I was failing the baby.
Thank you for all that.
Here are some lovely little numbers from the demo so far:
100 positive Steam demo reviews
13,000 wishlists
11,853 lifetime unique demo players
1,829 average daily active users over the past 7 days
163 all-time peak concurrent players
For a weird little first-person horror roguelike about pellets, monsters and one extremely unlucky baby, this means a lot.
The positive reviews have been amazing to read. So have your comments, reactions, clips and theories about what is actually going on inside this maze.
Seeing people learn the monsters, panic around corners, discover gifts and slowly understand the baby has been very motivating.
The demo feedback is already helping a lot. Every review, bug report, comment and weird observation helps shape the game as development continues.
BREAKOUT BABY is still crawling toward release in 2026, and there is more strange stuff to come.
For now, thank you for playing the demo, leaving reviews, wishlisting the game and helping the baby survive for at least a few more floors.
Now please continue getting the baby out of there.
