- Xbox controller support is now complete across the full playable game flow, including title screens, menus, text entry, remapping, controller prompts, world interaction and dragging, camera control, window scrolling, mouse takeover, and disconnect/reconnect recovery. Xbox Wireless Controller model 1914 has passed the complete edge-case test pass over both USB-C and Bluetooth.
- PlayStation DualSense controller support is now complete with the same full control profile, PlayStation-specific prompts and glyphs, text entry, remapping, world interaction, menus, and recovery behaviour. DualSense has passed the complete edge-case test pass in both wired and Bluetooth modes.
- Controller Zoom Sensitivity and Menu Scroll Speed now use simple whole-number scales from 1 to 9. New profiles and Reset to Defaults use the accepted Zoom Sensitivity of 3 and Menu Scroll Speed of 5; Config scrolling retains its preferred response while ordinary in-game windows scroll at one third of that former speed.
- Config sliders now snap to tidy, evenly spaced values: volume and mouse sensitivity use 20 intervals, controller cursor speed uses 100 px/s steps, acceleration uses 0.05-second steps, and pan speed uses whole numbers.
- The mapped controller Zoom In and Zoom Out controls now enlarge and shrink every adjustable equipment region, including Dust Relocator pickup and drop-off zones, Dust Dronie work and drop-off areas, and Space Dust Stringer work areas.
- Config now includes a fixed 1280 x 800 resolution option for Steam Deck-sized 16:10 layout and readability testing on desktop PCs.
- Edge Panning is enabled by default under Other Settings for both mouse and controller cursors, with a player-facing toggle to disable it. It smoothly moves the space camera only while the cursor stick or physical mouse continues pushing outward at the playable-frame edge; neutral input stops immediately instead of latching until the cursor is pulled away, and direct camera controls retain priority.
- Config toggle rows now stay aligned to the visible content width instead of adding a second fixed width to their stretched layout, restoring the Other Settings controls to the visible panel.
- Controller character naming now opens the on-screen keyboard only after the name field is deliberately selected, starts ready for immediate replacement typing, restores the selected character's default name when Done is chosen while blank, and preserves the previous name on Cancel.
- The family-character selection carousel can now be paged one step at a time with the Right Stick, and its bottom pager shows the matching Xbox or PlayStation stick glyph while a controller is active.
- Active story dialogue now ignores Escape and the mapped controller Cancel/Pause button, allowing that action to close an obstructing menu without also skipping the remaining dialogue; dialogue still advances normally through Space, Next, or the primary controller action.
- Family-character selection copy and the keyboard/controller shortcut prompts have received a complete 30-language translation review, including cleaner dynamic character names and clearer ability and remapping text.
- All four selectable family members now present polished character-selection portraits: Tovan and Mira use confident warm-weather modelling poses, while Luma and Niko use happy, playful, age-appropriate poses; all retain their established appearances and outfit language with clean transparent cutouts.
- Dust Rush once again binds to the dedicated challenge HUD after entering from the title screen: clean dust shows only the current score, the SuperDust row becomes the Rush timer, credits are hidden, and both the opening and recurring equipment-choice awards appear and grant normally.
- Inventory and Spaceport, Friendly Alien, and Space Pirate purchase rows now show compact right-edge equipment icons and upgrade markers layered cleanly over the scrollbar, making items easier to recognize without reducing the space available for localized names.
- The normal title screen now includes a friendly roaming Alien Trader in a randomly selected fleet colour. It turns and puffs smoke as it flies and can occasionally vaporize a comet-dislodged fabrication cube with its curly plasma cannon; the missing cube returns through that wall's normal rematerialization flight when its menu is selected.
- Public Demo builds can now enable a private Zoveka Preview Access flow that selects an invited creator profile locally, welcomes that creator, and adds their prepared badge and logo treatment to the title screen without analytics or separate source builds. Disabling the shared setting removes all creator access and branding while keeping the ordinary unbranded title Alien Trader.
