Hello, survivors!
Thank you for all the enthusiastic feedback since the Demo went live! We've gone through the issues you've reported, and today's update focuses on hardening save file safety, fixing a batch of bugs, and polishing the overall experience. Details below:
[Save File Protection (Key Focus)]
Legacy save warning: Added an interception warning for cross-version legacy saves, preventing the data anomalies that could occur when loading an old save directly into the new build.
Save corruption fix: Fixed a rare issue where force-quitting the game during the loading screen on your way home from exploration could corrupt your save. You can now close the game with peace of mind.
[Survival & Exploration Fixes]
Door durability: Fixed an issue where your home's door durability could drop abnormally after returning from exploration.
Bath time, back in place: Fixed a visual bug where characters taking a bath would end up "lying outside the bathroom."
[Controls & UI]
Ultrawide support: Fixed the system buttons on the right being covered by the floor panel on 21:9 / 32:9 ultrawide displays.
Hotkey fix: Fixed the N hotkey not responding in Planning Mode.
Smarter suggestions: Improved the smart recommendation logic for eating. When your Satiety is already high, the game will no longer keep nagging you to grab another bite.
[Immersion & Text]
Cooking visuals: Improved the cooking presentation — there's now an actual pot on the stove when you cook.
Description fixes: Fixed some unclear plan descriptions in both the Chinese and English versions.
[New Content]
New furniture: Small Storage Rack and Large Storage Rack are now available for purchase.
[Security Door & Window Fixes (Highlight)]
Security window interaction: Fixed an issue where security windows could no longer be interacted with or repaired after installation. Broken windows can now be patched up properly.
Quest blockers: Fixed issues where installing a security window or security door made main-story or quest points impossible to interact with (including being unable to leave the house after installing a security door).
[Pre-Disaster Rush Improvements]
Black-screen freeze fix: Fixed an issue where rushing into the supermarket in the final stretch of the disaster countdown could leave you stuck on a black screen on the way home.
Faster rush: The supermarket rush now takes only half an hour of in-game time. If less than half an hour remains, you can no longer rush in — with a clear message explaining why. Feel free to make that last run now.
[Results-Screen Safeguards]
Confirmation added: Clicking "Confirm" on the results screen now asks for a second confirmation, so you won't accidentally end your run anymore.
Loop point allocation: Fixed an issue where pressing ESC on the loop upgrade screen would immediately start a new run — ESC now opens the pause menu instead.
[Survival & Exploration]
Fertilizer prompt: Insufficient fertilizer is now highlighted in red with a "Not enough fertilizer" message, instead of a greyed-out button with no explanation.
Cooking value fix: Fixed an issue where some dishes, when cooking failed, produced abnormally low stats — even worse than Dark Cuisine.
[Critical Fix]
Regional compatibility: Fixed a serious issue where all in-game items were invisible on systems using certain non-Chinese regional formats (e.g. Czech, French). Affected players overseas can play normally after updating.
[Survival & Cooking]
Seasoning fix: Fixed an issue where seasonings could not be used properly when cooking.
Crisis defense fix: Fixed an issue where doors and windows no longer took damage from zombie attacks after saving/loading during a zombie crisis.
[Treatment Improvements]
Bleeding is now treatable: First-Aid Bandages and Military Med Kits can now remove the [Wound Bleeding] and [Shock Bleeding] statuses — no more waiting it out. Item descriptions have been updated accordingly.
[Immersion & Text]
Results screen text fix: Corrected the title and description text on the run results screen so they match the actual story progression.
Thank you all for playing the demo and sharing your feedback — we'll keep improving the game based on it. If you run into any other bugs, or find that a fix isn't working for you, please submit it through our feedback form and we'll get on it right away: https://forms.gle/JYWgDhcwjYhQh8gf7
