Rogue Voltage is out for one month now.
Heartfelt thanks to everybody who picked it up for the 1.0 release and joined the wiring obsession!
There are so many games coming out every week in the roguelike genre alone, and they're all splashy and fun and competing for your love and attention, so it means a lot that you picked up my special snowflake! Thank you so very much.
As for the release: Did the game smash any records of a roguelike 1.0 release?
No. Not at all.
I understand I am making a weird game and the market is getting extremely crowded, so this time it has proven to be mega difficult to get any attention from press and streamers.
As I am working on the game all by myself again, I don't have a lot of overhead, so I don't need to make crazy numbers. That's the upside of self-published indie development. Every bit of money that comes in from Steam goes directly to further development. It's pretty tight right now, not going to lie, but with some lucky break in the future, I'll probably break even and manage. Thanks again for your support!
Watch our patron saint Olexa play Rogue Voltage for the 1.0 release.
I am trying to find solutions for the couple of bugs that arose with the 1.0 release, especially progression bugs and the failing native Linux build. Please have patience with me while I'm working hard to deliver a quality software product™.
I'll soon finish work on a small content update that will bring a new type of "Spark Plug" module into the game. Stay tuned!
Rogue Voltage will be the kickoff game in the Pirate Software Indie Games Show 2026.
Mark your calendars!
We all know Thor as a highly intelligent gamer, so I think it will be an amazing fit to put him on the controls of this one. Thor will play the game on stream for one hour with the Twitch Integration enabled, so if you join the Twitch chat you can vote for loot picks. I'll also be on Stream commenting the run and the picks.
We'll use this showcase as a celebration of the launch and all of you are invited to join! Let's rally in the Discord!
Afterwards there will be 2 more hours of game design and development talk where I'll present milestones of Rogue Voltage design and development history and a behind-the-scenes look into the game engine.

If you're just finding Rogue Voltage or you have been following from the very first Twitter screenshots: Thank you for your involvement. You have made it possible that I could work on this full-time for 3 years.
It's an honor and a privilege to provide you with immaterial virtual foxes and make-believe electric components.
