What is next for CWB?

As many of you already know the first DLC for Cold War Battles is set to cover various conflicts in the Middle East during the Cold War period. As CWB has been well received and everyone has been incredibly supportive I decided that this scenario pack will be free.

Two weeks after launch and there has been quite a few small changes for the better with more being worked on. The focus now is on getting the Middle East content sorted, some of the conflicts like the Iran-Iraq War are rather difficult to get quality information on even today so it may take a little time. If updates are less regular here then you know it is because I am busy reading or trying to find accurate ORBAT's...

Not much I can tell you about what will be included yet other than confirming at least one scenario will feature the Sinai campaign in 1956.

A tricky situation for the Israeli forces, the Egyptians occupied strong fortified positions and the AMX 13-75 was already recognised as fairly weak, not least because the Israeli's used it as an MBT due to a shortage of tanks. The road junction at Abu Ageila was vital for control of the Sinai Peninsula and your opponent will not be giving it up lightly.

Also interesting was the equipment used, especially in the early conflicts. Players may be surprised to see the Egyptians still using British kit like the Archer tank destroyer as their dependence on the Soviet Union for equipment was not yet complete.

That's it for now, no ETA on release yet. Thanks for reading,

Chris.
