v0.18274 Patch Notes

BeastLink · published

Here’s what’s included in v0.18274:

  • Beast Building Movement Changes - Big change to how Beast’s move! Beasts will no longer get stuck on buildings as they walk around. Instead, the more stuff your Beast is actively destroying by moving, the slower they move as they have to work through a building or obstacle.

  • Human Networking Improvements - As part of our effort to improve ‘jank’ the Human movement system will get a lot of fixes in this patch. When on-foot, your player will be much more in sync with the server and should give you some smoother gameplay. Additionally, dashing forwards no longer forces you forward so you can now move into a strafe or backwards while holding the dash button.

  • New Scenario Twists - In Convergence, enjoy these changes to the possible twists:

    • Beat The Count - In this Beast Brawl PVE twist, wild Beasts get back up much more quickly and have less health! You’ll have less time to regroup, but will have more opportunities to win the game at higher PvE levels!

    • Radioactive Scan - In this Hazard Pay twist, actively scanning a Beast will give it damage! Extending on this idea for PvP, your radioactive scanning can now be applied to Beasts on the enemy team!

    • Double Team - This Colony Purge purge twist gets a fun new nuance in PvP. Yes, you must still have two players in the zone to capture it, but the enemy team must also have two players in the zone to contest it!

  • Low RAM Stability - We looked into what was causing stability issues for players with Minimum Required RAM, and changed the recommended settings and which Graphics options are available for players with the minimum memory specifications. Limiting these options and setting different recommended specs should help these players’ performance and stability enormously.

  • Bat wingtips no longer damage humans and vehicles

  • Beast Brawl PVE: Wake up timer on Beasts now scales with the server level

  • Only one Research Weapon can be held at a time

  • The tutorial now properly awards you with your collected Weapon Part

  • Armory now shows parts remaining to collect for each Part type

  • Collecting 50 and 150 Tardigrades now unlocks a special jacket and pants

  • Fixed parachute deploying when going up and down ziplines

  • Fixed UI bugs related to being the gunner as a passenger in the heli

  • Tanks, helis and cars use different icons for the waypoints and on the minimap

  • Downed Beasts don’t retain their old player names on death

  • Various miscellaneous content and bug fixes

  • Tardigrades no longer float in the air when attached to a building.. they go down with the building

Sincerely,

Team GSG
