Hello Monster Girl Lovers!

We're here with a big announcement.

Today marks the release of the free alpha demo of Monster Girl Descent!

We were originally supposed to participate in next-fest but unfortunately we encountered some build issues and the review process meant we missed it. :(

Since we now have a demo build ready, we've decided to release it anyway, feel free to download it and give it a whirl!

The Alpha demo build will introduce you to the world of Monster Girl Decent, allowing you to run the dungeon until you defeat the first boss. For the demo version, this boss will be our beloved Vampire Queen. Will you be able to strike her down or will she drain you?

There will also be various Monster Girls scattered throughout the dungeon, determined to stop you from reaching the boss, don't give in to their temptation!

You'll be able to run through the dungeon as many times as you like even after you defeat the boss. We're interested to see what strategies and builds people go for!

The dungeon will be randomised every time you enter, be careful or you might get caught off guard. You'll end up in a different room every time you go down a floor. Randomised elements include Layouts, Enemy Positions, Random Events, Shops, Treasure and more!

However, all rooms in the dungeon are hand-crafted to allow for extra goodies like secrets, treasure and more to be added for players to discover.

For the purposes of the Demo, most of the Town Features are locked or not functioning as they are still being worked on or they are elements better experienced later in the game beyond the scope of the demo. For this demo we mostly want to show off the dungeon-delving gameplay.

In the full game, you'll be able to explore the town, invest money into it and get powerful upgrades, meet new characters and more using the loot you acquire from the depths of the dungeon.

Please note that the demo build is still quite an early alpha, so it will contain some placeholders, bugs and lack of polish in places.

Demo Features:

  • Run through the random dungeon until the first boss, the Vampire Queen
  • Fight Monster Girls as you explore the dungeon
  • Collect cards and items that will help you on your run
  • Search Randomised dungeon floors for treasure!
  • Choose from three classes; Warrior, Mage or Priest
  • H-Scenes are included as part of the Demo!

Known issues:

There are a few visual bugs we are aware of and still working on fixing, they don't look great but don't affect the gameplay.

  • Some Art and Features are still placeholder and not fully fleshed out. Some things have been simplified for demo purposes.
  • Some skills do not function as intended.

We're looking forward to seeing your feedback and to releasing the Early-Access version of the game a bit later this year!

Kind regards,

MGGEDev

Community4 Sep 2026Monster Girl Descent Rebuild Progress Report #2Hello Monster Girl Lovers! I'm back with another progress report for the Monster Girl Descent Unity rebuild. I'm hoping to push these out monthly where possible so that everyone knows what things are looking like. Since the last update I've been doing a lot of work on UI elements and started work on some of the town scenes. Some of the menus and other parts are VERY placeholder right now and I'…Community2 Aug 2026Monster Girl Descent Rebuild Progress Report #1Hello Monster Girl Lovers, It has been a couple of weeks since I announced the engine change and remaking of Monster Girl Descent. I thought I'd post a little devlog with some screenshots to show the progress I've made since then. Whilst there's been some roadbumps and a bit of a learning curve along the way, things have still been going far better than I could have hoped. The dialogue or "even…Community19 Jul 2026Major Announcement: Monster Girl Descent Is Being Rebuilt in UnityHello Everyone, A bit of a surprise announcement for you all here. Recently, Monster Girl Descent has dropped down to mixed reviews on steam. Whilst it makes me sad, I can honestly see why. Player feedback has made it clear that several areas of Monster Girl Descent need more fundamental improvements than the current version can reasonably accommodate. So for the past few weeks/month I have bee…
