Dear players,
We want to take a moment to speak openly and honestly with you.
We are a true indie team of just 6–7 people. Most of us have children, and full-time jobs outside of this project. Shields of Loyalty has been our passion project for years, built in the late evenings, weekends, and stolen moments of free time. Getting here was not easy — but with your support, we’ve managed to make it happen.
Yes, we know the game is not perfect. Many of the issues you’ve reported were already on our radar, but the last stretch before release meant balancing dozens of fixes, updates, and content additions. It was tough on us too.
But please know this: we are listening, and we are fixing things as you read these words.
Even some of the biggest AAA studios, with hundreds of developers and millions in budget, had rocky launches — but thanks to patient, loyal communities, they turned things around. (Think of No Man’s Sky, Cyberpunk 2077, or Final Fantasy XIV — each went from struggle to success because of dedicated fans who believed in them.)
We don’t have their resources. What we do have is you — the players who believe in our vision and see what Shields of Loyalty can become. If you can give us a little patience as we patch, polish, and heal after this intense journey, we promise we’ll keep delivering improvements.
This game was made by gamers, for gamers.
