To the Players

Exactly one year ago, Touhou: Fearless Frogslayer was released. To be honest with you, I as the writer of this post had no experience in marketing, design, publishing, releases, or anything else you'd need to put a game out there. In fact, I can tell you the majority of work done on this game was from a position of almost zero experience, so it was certainly a struggle to get it out the door, but I would say a lot has been learned in the process.Struggle though it may have been, it feels great to have accomplished something real and tangible, big or small though it may be, I can certainly say that my feelings before starting this project, compared to the time of release, and even more so, compared to now; are almost completely different.

While I certainly wouldn't say it was an explosive success that created immediate and great opportunities for the future, I am happy that the first ever project made a decent level of success, and was even able to have various videos made about it, pay for some translation and other work to be done, and receive a small following.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to various YouTubers, review groups, and of course, players like you, especially those who took the time to review, post on the Steam community, or report bugs and errors in the forum, for having supported the game and made this all possible. The launch was slightly rough around the edges with some issues that could not have really been anticipated for a game with such limited budget for testing on more than a couple of PCs and players, and many more questionable decisions of inexperience, but I have learned a lot from the positive, the negative, and the neutral feedback towards the game, so I would like to promise that in future titles, I will take even the the most disheartening of feedback to heart and learn from what they have to say.

And, last but certainly not least, I want to extend my special thanks to Zun, Team Shanghai Alice, for not only creating this series beloved by many of us, but for the graciousness to allow games such as this to exist in the first place, for without that, there would have been no game at all.

I don't have anything to show as of yet, but, after having completed most of the most pressing work I had intended to do on making this game fully functional and generally free of the bigger and more pressing bugs and problems; I have been diligently at work on creating something new... it is quite a different project, but hopefully it can be enjoyed nonetheless. More will be shown on that as soon as it is ready.

Sincerely,
Silva Memoria.

P.S. - The game is now on a special discount. Enjoy!
(In addition, as per an anonymous user's request, FLAC files have been added to the soundtrack.)

I hope you are thus far having a good year, I can say that my own has been well. I want to add before this announcement that this is a scheduled post! ... well, that isn't something you should necessarily need to know, I just wanted to state that this is my first time using scheduled releases, in case I misunderstand the system and this message is released too early or late,…Sale22 Jan 2026A Delayed Discount, Apologies.Hello! This announcement comes from a small error, I had meant initially to set the game on a 20% sale upon the release of the Chinese language. Unfortunately, my internet router suddenly broke yesterday, luckily after most of the release work was complete, and was only fixed as of some minutes ago. Due to this, I could not actually access Steam's interface until now to trigger the discount. I…
