As always, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the continued support, feedback, bug reports, and suggestions. Huge thanks to the kind-hearted members of the community on Steam and Discord — your input truly helps shape the future of Dreadzone, and we appreciate it more than you know.

This update adds some highly requested features, including bed respawn selection and the introduction of seasons, starting with Winter, alongside fixes, improvements, and new gameplay additions.


🛠️ Patch Notes:

  • Fixed a minor entity spawn bug

  • Fixed networking desync issues in multiplayer sessions

  • Fixed minor performance issues related to dynamic fog

  • Fixed minor issues related to UI elements

  • Fixed minor sound playback issues

  • Improved certain sound elements

  • Improved and tweaked foliage optimization

  • Improved and tweaked loot tables and drop rates

  • Tweaked Flamethrower sound and VFX

  • Increased Chainsaw durability


❄️ Winter, Weather & Seasonal Features

  • Added new weather types: Snow and Snow Storm

  • Added interactive snow weather effects

  • Added snow footstep effects

  • Added new Weather Season: Winter

  • Added aurora sky effect during nighttime in Winter

  • Added Holiday Winter decorations

  • Added Winter Holiday Random Gifts event


Combat & Gameplay Improvements

  • Added new Physical Hit System

    • Mutants and zombies now physically react when hit

  • Added Bed Respawn Selection Menu

    • When mortally wounded, you can now select a bed to recover at, based on distance


New Items & Tools

  • Added new grenade type: Incendiary Grenade

  • Added new Gathering Tool: Jack Hammer

  • Added new items to the crafting list and loot tables

  • Added ability to craft Chainsaw and Jack Hammer at the Fabricator


This update is another step forward as we continue expanding Dreadzone with new systems, seasonal content, and quality-of-life improvements. More updates are already in development, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
