Hey everyone!

I’m very excited to announce that we have signed a partnership with Hooded Horse! Hooded Horse is known for publishing outstanding indie games in the city-building genre, such as Manor Lords and Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic, among many others. I am personally very much looking forward to working with people of such caliber and a mindset that’s very close to our own.

Hooded Horse CEO’s Perspective

"CyberStorm showed us how Junxions can load up the traffic intersections of real-world cities and then modify them as we like,” says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. “The simulation’s complexity is astounding, and the game truly aims to create the ultimate traffic management experience. We wanted to help bring this dream to life."

What Does This Mean for Junxions?

In short, there’s no stopping Junxions now — it’s happening, and so is the sequel City-Builder. Thanks to Hooded Horse, we can now dedicate more time to developing the game, which means we’ll either be able to release it sooner or with additional features and polish. With Hooded Horse handling marketing (farewell, juicy road tools — you’ll go down in history as the best Reddit ad of 2024), testing, QA, and more, we can focus entirely on bringing you the best possible version of Junxions. Additionally, the game will be available in 17 languages—English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese—all professionally translated and available on day one.

Creative Freedom and Development Progress

Everything else, such as creative direction, milestones and release dates, dev progress videos, DLC policy, and the expected price range will remain the same or at our own discretion. We are, of course, also keeping full rights to the IP. There are no downsides for you, our players, which was something I wanted to ensure when negotiating with multiple publishers over the past 3 months.

What’s Next for Junxions and the Sequel?

Going forward, I would like to outline how the development of Junxions will continue. We will be releasing next year, probably in early access, after which the development will continue further. At the same time, the development of the city builder will start. There have been a lot of great feature suggestions, however, some of them fit better in the sequel city builder. For these features, it will work as follows — once they are implemented for the city builder, they will also be made available in Junxions.

Shared Codebase and Feature Updates

Everything traffic-related from the city builder will be made available as a free update to Junxions while it’s in early access. This will be possible thanks to the fact that both games will use the same codebase. You can view our roadmap at https://trello.com/b/Gh5b89Il/junxions

A Big Thank You to Our Community

I’d like to thank every single one of you for being here and following the game’s development! It means a lot to us, and I look forward to what the next couple of months will bring!

Cheers <3

Community17 Dec 2025Dev Diary #11: Vehicle IntelligenceHey everyone! Get ready for a massive info dump regarding the progress we've made on vehicle behaviours. It's been quite some time since the last development video - for which we apologize - but the amount of features we were working on was quite large, and it also wasn't particularly easy. Especially because the simulation is multithreaded and needs to adhere to strict architectural requiremen…Community10 Sep 2025Release date delayHey everyone, In major news, Junxions release year has been changed to 2026. We apologize for any disappointment this might cause, but we want to remain committed to delivering our vision of the game that will be polished and optimized enough for you to enjoy. We’ve been transparent about our development progress since the beginning and made it always known that we would prefer a delay instead…Community28 May 2025Dev Diary #10: Map Import & Buildings - Development ProgressHey everyone! We have almost finished implementing the map import feature, including the building tool. So let's take a look together at how it works and see famous buildings and skylines directly in the game, including Manhattan, London, Amsterdam, or Grand Canyon. We will also showcase all the options on how these buildings can be modified and explain some of our decisions regarding these fea…
