New Map Option with 50% More Buildable Space

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share an update with you today that many of you have been asking for:
There is now a larger map option with 50% more buildable space. This gives you significantly more room to expand your city and plan your defenses more strategically.

🏗️ What the larger map offers you

  • More space for houses, walls, towers, and other buildings

  • A more open layout for your city so you don’t constantly run into the map limits

  • Longer defensive paths and more options for redirecting or mitigating attacks

🛠️ Behind the scenes

To make larger maps possible in the first place, I worked on two essential features:

  • Zoom levels: The larger map option also means the camera needs to be positioned further out. To make sure you don’t miss any details, you can now zoom in and out to keep both close-up details and the overall map in view.

  • Map movement: Zooming in on details is great, but to ensure you stay in control, you can now move across the map.

These two features were the foundation needed to make larger maps usable at all. As a result, this update includes a lot of fine-tuning of the camera system and overall controls.

And if you haven’t already, wishlist the game on Steam — it really helps!

Thanks for following along 🙌— Daniel
