Hello, shape defenders!
It's been two months of deflecting shapes, making sick levels, and doing the extraordinary to this game. As a result, we thank you for your support to this game, and we want to try and make it better for you and content creators alike.
As a result, we decided to announce Pulsagon v1.5!
2 new FX: Stab and shards
A new shape type: Delay (up to 8 beats)
Levels are now divided by Sound Packs.
Improved level editor
6 new levels
4 new languages added
Over the coming days, we will add symbols to our songs to indicate advisories for select audiences. So far, we have decided on 3 symbols for the game.
This is the COPYRIGHT SYMBOL. We will place these on songs that don't use these Creative Commons licenses: CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, or CC-0. This symbol is created for content creators to determine that they should NOT record themselves playing the song, as we are positive this can lead to demonitization or copyright strikes.
This is the EXPLICIT SYMBOL. We will place these on songs that have explicit lyrics (i.e., swear words, crime, drug references, sexual references, and other adult themes). This symbol is created for parental advisory, so kids won't play those songs.
This is the UNOFFICIAL SYMBOL. We will place these on levels we haven't created ourselves. Rather than listing this as advisory, we use this to encourage others' creativity.
Prior to creating these symbols, we want to take a few more steps to ensure safety for content creators and teens. Here's what we are going to do:
If this is toggled on, you will not have access to any song that contains the COPYRIGHT SYMBOL, including access to unverified custom levels, due to the uncertainty of copyrighted material. You may continue to play the game and create levels as normal.
If this is toggled on, you will not have access to any song that contains the EXPLICIT SYMBOL, including using the level editor feature.
We hope this update brings the best out of our community, and we hope we'll release it as soon as possible!
With that being said, have fun!
