Upcoming Demo News #1: Favorite Rocks

Hello to our otterly amazing community! 🦦

For the past few months, we’ve been heads-down in development, polishing a massive amount of improvements and working on new additions for our upcoming demo update.

🪨 Favorite Rocks

If you played the original demo, you know the Favorite Rocks were mostly just a fun little addition. We decided to completely change that. They will remain your trusty companions while floating, but they just got a major upgrade!

What’s changed?

Previously, players were locked into a specific animation to smash objects with a hammer. Now, your Favorite Rock is your primary tool! You can use it to smash shellrocks, sea urchins, crates, and obstacles freely as you move.

  • Free Movement: No more being locked in place to break stuff

  • More Loot: More environmental objects are now smashable

  • Better Flow: Smashing them feels faster and more natural

The world is now your oyster (literally).

✨ Smash in Style

And since your rock is now your primary tool... you can also choose how it looks!

By selecting your Favorite Rock in the inventory, you can customize your look while you explore. Which, by the way, there will be even more favorite rocks to choose from in the update!

Stay tuned for more news and updates! 🌊
