Outright open war between the two southern empires seems inevitable and is only delayed by remnants of Roman forces, cowering in crumbling strongholds they’ve seized during the long gone zenith of their power.
Should you hurry, you could be the one to bring them salvation from the Arab forces, or reclaim what was never theirs, and prepare for the oncoming carnage.
