Commander,
The week of December 1-5 brought steady progress on bridge immersion systems as we march toward demo release.
Steam Milestone
Last week we went live on Steam with our “Coming Soon” page! We’re incredibly thankful for the thousands of wishlists already secured. Each one means the world to us, and we can’t wait to get the demo into your hands.
Mission Development
Unity Developer Dustin Weitkunat is advancing on two main fronts: final buildout and integration of the reworked bridge UI, and initial creation of the “chatter” system where your bridge officers call out status updates during combat. He’s working through the weekend as we target an internal test build next week.
Ship Construction & Media Production
The art team maintained full speed. Nyx remains focused on the modular space station model forming the center of a new skirmish map. Brian shifted to producing lore videos introducing Coalition Defense Force ships included in the demo, plus additional marketing images and miscellaneous art items.
Script & Literary Progress
Daniel Gibbs reached 55,000 words on Deep Strike—book 6 of The Iron Fleet series where the SCOS campaign takes place. He also continued checking tasks off the Integrated Master Schedule and completed the action-by-action scene breakdown for the second part of the Campaign Demo mission.
Next Week’s Plan
Build status permitting, we’re planning a new dev blog showcasing the interior bridge UI and demonstrating the chatter system.
If you have not yet signed up for notifications on our upcoming Kickstarter (launching post demo release), consider doing so. That way, you’ll be guaranteed to receive notification.
