Hello again, Pool Fans!
First of all - thank you. Since launch, thousands of you have jumped in, played hard, and told us exactly where things weren’t landing. We’ve been reading Steam reviews, Discord threads, subreddit posts - all of it. This Week 1 Patch goes live at 8 am 19.02.26 on Steam and PlayStation, and we've tried to target the most reported issues as fast as we could.
Here’s what’s changing.
The Issue
Many players - especially on Pro difficulty without aim lines - reported difficulty lining up shots. This was worsened when forced cue elevation caused the camera to shift (most noticeable near rails).
We pushed for realism here. In practice, the camera shifting off-centre made shot judgment far harder than intended.
The camera is now permanently centred in all scenarios - even when the cue is elevated
The camera has been moved much further back from the cue ball to improve overall table readability in all scenarios
This should dramatically improve shot alignment and Pro-level playability, particularly near cushions. If you've gotten used to the current camera, please do give yourself a little time to readjust - we think it's worthwhile.
Please note: We are continuing to review expanded camera options based on your feedback and hope to provide more options and customisability, but this will require comprehensive testing and additional work. More on that soon.
