Terminal Overhaul: Filesystem, Breach Gates, Leaderboard Tab & Visual Polish
This update transforms the terminal from a simple log window into something you'll actually want to explore.
Virtual Filesystem
- A navigable Unix-like filesystem lives inside the terminal. ls, cd, pwd, cat, find all work.
- Lore files, live system data, and encrypted files gated behind progression. Some of what you find might change how you think about the game.
- Try the commands you'd normally try. The system has opinions about most of them.
- There's more in here than I'm listing. Go look.
Breach Gates
- New typing challenges at major progression thresholds. You'll know when you hit one.
- Type fast, type accurately, or wait and try again.
- Details intentionally withheld.
In-Game Leaderboard
- New LEADERBOARD tab in the left panel. Check global rankings without leaving gameplay.
- Full category switching: Total FLOPS, FLOPS/sec, Prestiges, Achievements, Loops, Neural Weights, Upgrades.
Terminal Log Styling
- Messages are now color-coded by type. System, errors, events, commands, and filesystem output are all visually distinct.
- Much easier to scan and parse what's happening at a glance.
UI Polish
- Left panel tabs (Terminal, Achievements, Leaderboard) now share width uniformly. No more clipping or wrapping.
- "TERMINAL_LOG" shortened to "TERMINAL" for cleaner layout.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Visual feedback on MAIN LOOP clicks/spacebar (floating numbers, screen shake) was not appearing.
- Fixed: UI layering issues with floating elements.
- Fixed: Animation exemptions when "reduce animations" setting is enabled.
- Fixed: Leaderboard panel not properly hiding when switching tabs.
