It's finally here: our first public release of GameShop Simulator!

This demo version of the game drops you into a small store pre-equipped with a register, help desk, and shelves ready to be filled. All you need to do to get started is prep the register, order some merchandise (rush delivery recommended), stock the shelves, and open the doors. And... maybe clean up a little bit; the owner seems to have thrown a party of some kind before heading out of town.

While we're very excited to let you get your hands on what we've been working on, please keep in mind that this is a narrow, early slice of the final product. There are still several key features in development (including a proper tutorial), and likely to be a few bugs, glitches, and other weird behavior here and there. Our multiplayer implementation is still very rough, and as it's a short demo, game saves may not function properly.

We also recognize that, without a full tutorial in place yet, some of the less obvious aspects of the gameplay may be... well, less obvious. We've opened a help desk section in our official Discord to assist - if you have any questions or confusion about how the game works, please ask! Your feedback is vital in helping us grow GameShop Simulator into the best game it can be, so please share any and all suggestions, bug reports, and any other thoughts you have on your experience.

Across our entire development team, this is our very first game. We're as indie as it gets. We truly hope you enjoy what we're putting together, and are incredibly grateful you're here at the beginning.

Community1 Sep 2026Midnight Launch Demo is Available! It's time: the new demo for Midnight Launch: A GameShop Sim is now available! This single-player demo is a hearty sampling of everything we've been working on since February. You'll be able to check out the new environment, play through our revamped progression mechanics (up to 3 stars; around 20% of the full game), and get a glimpse of all the other new and reworked features we've been hard at…Community17 Aug 2026Presenting MIDNIGHT LAUNCH: A GameShop SimBack in February, we had our first public showing of the GameShop Simulator demo during Steam Next Fest. During that time, we received a ton of feedback about the game, all of which carried one central theme: the concept was fun, and the game showed a lot of promise, but it needed more time to cook. So, we got back in the kitchen, and we've been cooking. As a completely independent studio opera…Community6 Mar 2026What's Next For GameShop Simulator?Thank you to everyone who checked out the GameShop Simulator demo during Steam Next Fest! Now that the event is over, it's time to take down the demo, reflect on what we've learned, and start working on what comes next. Across all the feedback we received during the demo period, there are two big topics that have stuck out: · Our game has a ton of potential, but... · It also still needs a lot o…
