There is no single “correct” way to survive the U.S.S. Lumen. At every step, you are completely free to choose how you face the nightmare.

If you favor stealth, you can move silently - physically crouching to sneak past threats, or hiding inside organic cocoons embedded in the walls, pulling them shut by physically bringing your real hands together. You can dispatch enemies quietly with a visceral neck snap, or simply slip away like a ghost.

If you prefer confrontation, you can draw your phaser and fight openly - but be warned: the noise will quickly draw the horde. For those who rely on creative survival, you'll be able to craft a range of improvised sci-fi tools: teleport traps, heat emitters, the Masquerade and stun grenades. And that’s just the beginning.

The horrors hunting you differ dramatically, not just in their grotesque appearance, but in how they stalk their prey. Some are completely blind, relying on terrifyingly sharp hearing to track your movements. Others seem unstoppable until you uncover their physiological weak points. Furthermore, the ship's environmental hazards are a double-edged sword - they can be a deadly threat to you, or they can be weaponized against the infected.

And then there is your own body. Your infection is constantly evolving. Sometimes the mutation works against you, breaking your control - but sometimes, it unlocks entirely new, horrifying possibilities.

In Star Trek: Infection, survival isn't just about shooting; it's about adapting. The more you experiment with your environment and your own mutating form, the more the U.S.S. Lumen reveals.
