I've updated the game a little.
Thank you all for playing it and leaving so many nice comments, reporting bugs, and everything else.
Please, if you have any issues or suggestions — write to me! I really do read everything and then work through it.
1.Bug fixes and improvements:
The 5 rubles problem: I saw a lot of confusion about how 5 rubles appeared in the Inventory. The answer: thanks to a bug! This is now fixed — it's a small quest tied to one of the notes.
The card problem: I discovered to my horror that during the Blackjack+Tarot stage, it could skip you way ahead in rounds. This is also fixed: you have to win 5 times without lives, and 5 times with them!
Fixed (I think) the issue with temporarily disappearing objects in the Apartments
F12 and screenshots! Everything works now — a very annoying engine quirk that it doesn't work out of the box
Windowed mode can now be enabled in Settings
Updated some sprites and effects, added shadows under cards and stuff like that
2.Just Cards!
A standalone card mode is now active on the main screen.
The run is simple:
No lives
You need to win 33 times
There's a regular Tarot draft every 5th turn and on turn 32
It's just cards with no strings attached — people asked for this a lot
A general overview of active Tarot cards has been added to the Notes right away
Conceptually it's no different from the card game in Chapter 1
But I have ideas on how to greatly improve the standalone Just Cards! experience
3.A bit…about Chapter 2
Right now it's in a peculiar state: some things are being designed, while others already have finished scenes. What awaits you?
A scene inspired by the wonderful Reigns game series. Try to hold your ground in the world of old St. Petersburg
A scene at the doctor's, which will have (I hope) a very interesting mechanic
And of course…expanding the boundaries of the card game!
