Let’s take this to another level: Kickstarter

I first came up with the idea for a board game-inspired roguelite last winter, but it wasn’t until April that I made it my main project. So, about a year… and I still have a hard time believing how far we’ve come. What a journey!

Now the demo is out for everyone to try, and a dedicated community of testers is already sinking hours into finding new ways to feed the dragon. The game is here, and it won’t be long before we can release it. But I think we can take it to another level. I’d love to have the dragon actually speak, with all of his snarky comments fully voice-acted. I’d love an animated intro. I’d love to add additional challenges, unlockable dragon skins, and expand the soundtrack with a professional composer… so many possibilities.

You probably see where this is going. So far, it’s just been my wife and me working on the game, juggling work, family time with our two kids, and long hours of development. And while we love it, there’s only so much we can do. With additional funding from Kickstarter, we’d have many more options and could fully realize our vision for the game.

So if you like our little dragon-feeding simulator, take a look at our Kickstarter campaign. We’ve prepared a variety of rewards for backers to sweeten the deal. A Steam key on release goes without saying, but there are also physical rewards, beta access, exclusive skins… and even a way to help us design parts of the game.

Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/indieformer/feed-the-scorchpot-a-digital-tabletop-roguelike

But even if you don’t want to or can’t contribute, we’ll be perfectly happy if you try the demo and just have fun!
