We’re all really excited about the upcoming new feature in Ticket to Ride: content sharing. This FAQ will walk you through everything you need to know: how it works, what’s included, and how it affects your gameplay.
How do I play Ticket to Ride® with my friends?
Click “NEW GAME”.
Click “ONLINE” (make sure you’re signed into Bubble!).
Click “ONLINE WITH FRIENDS” to host a game.
Click “INVITE” and invite your Bubble friends!
Everyone needs to own a copy of the Ticket to Ride® base game to play.
Can we play the expansions together?
Yes, you can play any Ticket to Ride® expansion in “ONLINE WITH FRIENDS” mode.
What if one of us doesn’t own the expansion? Can they still join?
Yes! So long as the person who owns the expansion hosts the game, they can share the expansion with their friends in “ONLINE WITH FRIENDS” mode. All you need to do is make sure the expansion owner is the one who creates the lobby. This is called “content sharing”.
Which expansions does this work with?
All of them!
Will my friends be able to use all the expansion’s content when I share it during a match?
When you host a game, you can share your owned expansions with friends, allowing them to enjoy a game on a map they do not own. However, they will not be able to use additional items from the expansion, such as characters and vehicles.
Can I use content sharing online with random players/others or just with friends?
You can only share your expansions via “ONLINE WITH FRIENDS”. Anyone who joins your game can share your expansions for that match. You cannot share content via other game modes.
Can I use this with cross-play?
Yes, you can!
