Thank you all once again for taking the time to play the demo for Radical Zomboarding!
Another update just went out, and this one is a real fun one:
This update features MORE BLOOD AND GUTS! I hope you'll enjoy it! Here's the changelog:
Update for 3-28-25:
Additions:
- NEW GORE SYSTEM!
- Killed zombies now explode into bones and giblets
- Bones and blood sprays now leave blood splatters on the slope
- Blood can splatter on the screen when killing zombies or when getting bitten
- Each slope has its own cash multiplier; The Bunny Slope multiplier is 10 and the Alpine Park multiplier is 20
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where holding a diagonal direction and then doing a grab would result in the animation not playing
- Fixed an issue where the scoring UI would show an increasingly exponentially large score
- Fixed the score UI so that only the stale moves in a string would appear greyed out instead of greying out the entire string of moves
- Fixed not being able to perform an air shot right after jumping
- Fixed an issue where the active cheats would not be highlighted when activating them and then returning from a run
- Fixed an issue where the Tornado Twist perk would not reset when quitting or restarting a run
Changes:
- Update how cash is earned from a run: Cash earned is now calculated as the number of challenges completed multiplied by the slope's cash multiplier. If you used cheats, the earned cash will be multiplied by the lowest cheat multiplier
- The Ludicrous Speed cheat now has a 0.2 cash multiplier, reducing earned cash from a run by 1/5
- Updated the air trick challenges to only count short or medium tricks
- Changed grabs so they now require you to hold the grab for a majority of the jump for it to count as a grabbed trick
- Rebalanced the score earned for each trick
- Show a message in the trick UI when locking in a score or bailing
- Cheats now have a cash earned multiplier; some cheats will reduce the amount of cash you earn, others will increase them!
- Updated the cheat screen with descriptions and multipliers for each cheat
Removals:
- Slides and wall rides no longer count as tricks
