Today, we're beyond excited to announce the release date of the long-awaited 1.0 release and the 'official' launch of shapez 2!
That's right, the 1.0 release of shapez 2 arrives on April 23rd, 2026! After over a year and a half of Early Access and tons of invaluable feedback from all of you, 1.0 is finally releasing at the tail end of next month.
With this update comes a whole host of features and improvements, some of which we've already shared in recent weeks and some we're yet to dive into. Here’s the overview:
shapez 2 will fully support modding through the Steam Workshop with 1.0, ranging from small quality of life tweaks to overhauls that really change the way you play the game. Everything is possible!
Finally, achievements! From scaling up your output to taking on Hexagon mode, 86 achievements will challenge you to improve your factories, give suggestions on what to do next and flaunt your expertise.
Update 1.0 is filled to the brim with quality of life improvements based on your feedback, including fixed & improved shape previews that work everywhere and an expanded codex with search function just to name a couple!
