Our newest major update, Mutation: ALPHA, has just hit the wasteland - bringing with it a swarm of dangerous new mutant variants, a slippery loot-worm, daily jobs, weapon skins, new perks, and a whole lot more!!!

🧬A New Alpha Variant Has Arrived

A mysterious new strain is mutating the wasteland’s worst creatures, and things are about to get much more dangerous…In Heated runs, you’ll now encounter Alpha Mutations - elite, twisted versions of familiar foes that hit harder, tank more, and look like they’ve been spending too much time in the wrong puddles.

But that’s not all…

🐛 4 New Enemies

Fresh horrors now roam the wasteland, including:

• Centipede – a slithering segment-splitting menace

• Grub – an aggressive little burrower

• The Hermit – a shelled horror that lobs poisonous bile

• ??? – (We’ll let you meet the fourth one on your own…)

🎨 14 New Weapon Skins

Fourteen new options for your starter weapons. If you wanted your arsenal to say “professional prepper” or “I attached this with duct tape and hubris,” we’ve got you covered.

⭐ 9 New Character Perks

Load up with new toys, like:

• Lucky Vendor – chance for double consumables

• Good Cardio – dash without losing stamina

• Exploding Decoy – exactly what it sounds like

• …and plenty more to mix into your builds.

📋The Job Board (Daily Tasks)

The apocalypse still needs workers.

Check the Job Board in the bunker for daily objectives that reward XP and beans.
Jobs refresh every day - hop in, grab a task, and make the wasteland a better place (for you, mostly).

🛒 NEW: Shops & Vending Machines – Now IN Missions

• Shops now appear during missions, not between them

• Six new Vending Machines for consumables

• A Recycling Machine so you can save the planet (or at least clean up your mess)

Baxter also set up a pop-up shop in missions. He claims it’s for convenience, but we’re pretty sure it’s for profit.

• Shops now appear inside missions instead of in-between

• Consumables removed from shops (now exclusively in Vending Machines)

• Points of interest are hidden on the mini-map until visited

• Player visibility in darkness improved: small light circle added, and longer delay before taking darkness damage

• Super Slug mod updated:

  • +20% damage

  • Reduced spread

  • Increased range

  • Increased knockback

• Splinter Shell mod: updated visuals

• Knockbacker mod: updated description, increased knockback and pellet count, -20% reload speed

• Elemental tuning: tweaks to Fire, Electric, and Ice damage

• Slightly reduced bonuses on certain Legendary weapon mods

• Starting cash increased from 400 → 600

Fixes:

• Enemy health bars now correctly hide when enemies are in shadow

• Character selection now remembers your previously chosen character
