Commanders!

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Steam Festival, which wraps up today. We truly appreciate every single one of you who downloaded the demo, jumped into the battlefield, and shared your thoughts with us. Special thanks to those who submitted Bug Reports - these are incredibly important for us. Because of your feedback, we were able to quickly identify issues and fix them even faster. In fact, there wasn’t a single day during the festival when we didn’t push an updated build with improvements and fixes (not counting weekends).

We’ve also addressed several of the most frequently reported tutorial issues. All of them have now been resolved, so if you ran into any problems earlier, they should now be fully sorted out.

Most importantly, we would like you to know that we are carefully reading your feedback and will soon be making improvements to the game system to allow more focus on tank play. We have a couple of solutions that did not make their way into the demo due to time constraints, but are at the top of our list and will be implemented shortly.

First up is the Active Pause button on the 2D map. This will allow those of you who prefer a less hectic approach to take all the time you need to command your units, and then focus only on fighting from your tank. It’s all about giving you more control and flexibility in how you play.

Another feature we’ve been revisiting - something we discussed quite a long time ago - is the implementation of a  “Follow me” order. Due to recent feedback, we’ve brought this topic back to the table. The idea is to have your units move together with you in formation, letting you focus solely on tank combat while you lead the assault.

And that’s not all! We hear your concerns and we will be refining the system further so that everybody who is interested in WW2 tank combat can enjoy Sherman Commander their own way. Of course, all existing gameplay options will remain intact. If you enjoy the current style of play, nothing will be taken away - the experience you like will stay exactly as it is.

We’re also happy to officially confirm the release date: March the 14th. Until then, we’ll continue polishing the game to make it as solid and enjoyable as possible. There’s always room to improve - and we’re doing everything we can to make Sherman Commander the best experience it can be at launch.

Once again, thank you for being with us and supporting the game. It truly means a lot.

See you on the battlefield,
Iron Wolf Studio Team
