Welcome!

Cold War Battles will let you lead Cold War formations in quick, turn based, hex‑and‑counter battles spanning real and hypothetical conflicts from 1945–1990. With over 200 units and varied theatres - from Norway’s Arctic front to the Golan Heights, Cold War Battles await.

There is lots going on and more details will be posted regularly so stay tuned, for now here is a screenshot of a US Armoured Cavalry Troop in action, more details on the game incoming over the next week.

Real life has interfered with work on CWB for a few days but a few small changes have snuck in nonetheless... · Artillery VP increased a little across the board. This will better reward counter battery fire against enemy artillery although the same applies to your opponent. · Missing recon units in the 3rd mission of the Polish campaign now appear…Game update3 Sep 2026Small PatchFixed a campaign menu bug. Increased the space between the End Turn button and the other buttons to lower the chances of a mis-click. Also changed it's text colour.
