Thank you to all players for your continued support, feedback, and companionship! We have been closely monitoring your experiences and have been continuously refining and optimizing the game. The core of this demo update focuses on restructuring the character personalization and development system. Additionally, we've introduced several convenient features, optimized interface operations, and fixed known issues, aiming to deliver a deeper and more enjoyable floating island survival experience.
Here are the details of this update:
Is moving around too slow on foot? Are the survivors always forced to take the long way around? Now it is not an issue! We've added a simple zipline system. Once you anchor both ends on the map, characters can move faster and traverse terrain from top to bottom. Well, it might not be as convenient as you imagined, but when they "whoosh" down, don't you find it fun? The zipline have more mysterious function you can us. From primitive tribes to modern technology, there's still a long way to go!
Attention! You might now have genius dweller and clueless ones! Flouting island now features randomized attribute generation at character birth. The four core attributes—collection, production , construction and research—will fluctuate within a specific range at birth, giving each dweller unique abilities from the start. Whether it's a surprise or a shock, it's just like scratching a ticket !
Attribute Levels: Characters' attributes are divided into five levels: Basic < standard < Improved< Superior < Peak, each corresponding to different attribute value ranges and unlocking capabilities.
Work Attribute Level Requirements: Every work type (such as construction, demolition, fix, gathering, and research) now has corresponding attribute level requirements. For example, basic gathering requires 0 points in the gathering attribute, while standard research requires at least 21 points in the research attribute. Characters can't accomplish these tasks if they don’t meet the required attribute level.
Sounds complicated? To put it simply, as a leader, your task is to "raise your kids!"
Mysterious Stone Platform: Mysterious stone platforms will appear randomly on the world map. Rare books will spawn on these platforms, and collecting them will significantly speed up the rate at which dweller learn corresponding attributes, greatly improving the efficiency of attribute development.
Books and Training: We've added a vast library of books on the floating island, covering a wide range of subjects such as "Advanced Mechanical" and "Advanced Mathematics."Dwellers can study the subjects by choosing books from the bookshelf. Every study session will spend some time, and upon completion, the character's corresponding attribute value will increase.
The process dwellers can't avoid —chopping trees, eating, and going to school!
Dwellers have finally learned how to build the long-awaited Statistics Station from mysterious ancient treasure! This high-efficiency building can summarize key information about the floating island, such as the population, the number of idle or trapped characters, etc. It also allows custom display of various resource reserves, helping you quickly grasp the state of the island!
The handbook of dweller , once the essential survival guide for every dweller, is now available in the top right corner of the screen! The handbook contains all the knowledge you need to live on the floating island, complete with image-based guides. Make sure to check it out!
We’ve redesigned the work management interface, categorizing tasks like gathering, production, construction, research, and supply with labels for easy viewing.
When placing building or facility blueprints, we've added an auxiliary grid display to help you plan layouts more accurately.
By clicking on a character, you can now view all reachable place for that character in the command menu at the bottom right. If the character is trapped with a task, the current task's target location will also be shown.
The map now randomly generates island terrain, resource distribution, and facility spawn points, making every exploration experience more diverse.
Treasure chests now contain more rare resources and have marked attribute level requirements. Only characters with the corresponding level can investigate these chests.
We've added new technology branches and optimized the unlocking logic for the tech tree. Now, the unlock of certain technologies is linked to the characters' attribute levels (e.g., "Advanced Construction Technology" requires at least one character with an Advanced Construction attribute to unlock).
We've optimized the initial resource configuration, adding 10 more wood to help new players quickly build basic gathering facilities , reducing the difficulty of early survival.
We’ve added the WASD keys for map movement, allowing you to view the world more flexibly.
We've added buttons to adjust the Map planning speed and Map dragging speed.
A switch for film grain effects has been added, as well as a full-screen bloom effect toggle. You can choose to trun on or turn off these effects depending on your device's performance and visual preferences to avoid overly bright screens or stuttering.
1.Fixed an issue where the “Custom Reserves Display” button in the Statistical Station did not respond when clicked.
2.Moved the demolition facility button from the corner of the old interface to the more prominent facility operation bar, reducing mis-clicks and enhancing convenience.
3.Fixed an issue where clicking "Cancel" during resource point investigation did not terminate the investigation task properly. Now the cancel operation takes effect immediately, and the character returns to idle state.
4.Fixed an issue where some rare books could not be added to the bookshelf after collection. All books now can be used for learning.
5.Fixed an issue where placing advanced construction facilities (like the Mysterious Stone Platform) could cause save/load lag or data anomalies. We've optimized the stability of save file reading.
6.Corrected dozens of text description errors (e.g., incorrect attribute level names, inaccurate facility function descriptions), making gameplay explanations clearer and more accurate.
