We’re excited to announce a new update for The Cecil: The Journey Begins, focused on improving player experience, addressing key issues reported by the community, and enhancing overall game stability.

Patch Highlights:

Full Controller Support Added - Players can now enjoy seamless controller support throughout the game, offering a more flexible and accessible gameplay experience.
Save Game Issues Resolved - We've addressed the save-related issues that affected some players. A downloadable save file is also available to assist those impacted in continuing their journey without interruption.
Motion Blur Setting Fixed - The motion blur toggle now functions as intended. Players can customize this visual setting without experiencing any glitches or unintended effects.
Gameplay Stability Improvements - Various backend optimizations have been implemented to enhance performance and reduce crashes or hitches. A new "Medium" graphics option was also added that may improve performance for certain setups.
Minor Bug Fixes - Additional bugs have been addressed to provide a smoother, more polished experience overall.

Thanks to all who reported save and loading specific issues, and for your patience as we addressed the issue. We determined that the issue affected players who played for a long period of time without closing the game, causing save files to bloat in size and making them unable to load. This seemed to only rarely affect save files past Act 5. If you were unfortunately affected by this, we have a folder of backup save files here, and instructions here on how to replace your save file here so you do not need to restart your journey.

We appreciate the continued support and feedback from our community. If you encounter any further issues or have suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out through the community forums or support channels. From your feedback, we know that features like mouse sensitivity are highly requested and are actively working on them.
