JUNE UPDATE: The Power of Music in The Occultist

June 21st marks European Music Day, and we couldn’t imagine a better moment to unveil something we’ve been waiting to share with you: the main theme from the official trailer of The Occultist.

🎼 A Sound That Summons the Spirit of GodStone

Composed by the brilliant Pepe Herrero and recorded with a live orchestra, this piece sets the tone for everything The Occultist stands for:

A deep emotional current. A creeping sense of dread. And just a flicker of hope.

The theme was created hand-in-hand with the game’s narrative and worldbuilding, it’s not just music; it’s a mirror of the story.

🎧 Listen to the trailer theme here:

The music in The Occultist plays a critical role in creating tension, wonder, and emotional weight. This theme is just the first of many original pieces being composed for the game, each one tied to specific locations, events, or characters.

You’ll hear music shift as you uncover secrets, feel it pulse during crucial moments in the story, and fall silent in the moments where silence says everything.

We’d love to hear your thoughts! What feelings or images did this theme evoke for you? Let us know in the comments!
