Hello everyone!

Work on Container Terminal Simulator continues every day, and the terminal is steadily evolving into a deeper and more immersive logistics simulation.

During the past months, many systems have been improved and expanded, and the foundation for several major gameplay features has been laid. The goal remains the same: to transform a small railway cargo yard into a busy and efficient logistics hub where trains, containers, machinery, and cargo all work together.

The terminal is growing — and so is the game.

Automation Arrives at the Terminal

One of the biggest additions introduced recently is the automated unloading crane.

This new system allows containers arriving by train to be automatically unloaded into a buffer storage area, helping players manage larger cargo flows and streamline terminal operations.

Automation opens the door to handling bigger train deliveries, larger terminals, and more complex logistics scenarios.

A Living and Expanding Terminal

With every update the terminal itself becomes more detailed and dynamic.

Environmental improvements, new markings, updated models, and various visual refinements help make the yard feel more alive. As the terminal grows, players can gradually build a larger and more efficient logistics infrastructure.

Behind the scenes, many systems have also been improved — including UI refinements, gameplay balancing, and performance optimizations that allow the terminal to handle more activity at once.

Tracking Your Logistics Empire

The game now tracks more operational statistics than ever before.

Players can monitor the performance of their terminal, including:

  • trains arriving at the yard

  • trucks delivering cargo

  • containers processed

  • total operational time

These systems are an important step toward building a fully developed logistics simulation, where efficiency and smart management will play a key role.

Opening Containers and Handling Real Cargo

One of the most exciting systems currently in development will allow players to open individual containers and handle the cargo stored inside them.

Instead of containers acting only as external cargo units, they will soon contain different types of freight that must be unloaded, moved, and processed using terminal equipment.

This feature will introduce:

  • new cargo types

  • palletized freight

  • additional logistics tasks inside the terminal

The goal is to make each container feel like a real shipment with its own contents and handling challenges.

New Equipment on the Horizon

The terminal fleet is also expanding.

Development is currently underway on new machinery and handling equipment that will give players additional tools for managing cargo and improving efficiency inside the yard.

Different machines will allow players to approach logistics operations in new ways, especially as the volume and variety of cargo continues to grow.

While it is still too early to reveal everything, the upcoming updates will gradually introduce new vehicles and logistics systems that will expand the scale of terminal operations.

The Road Toward Full Release

Container Terminal Simulator is still in Early Access, but the long-term roadmap is clear: continue expanding the depth of the simulation while making the terminal feel larger, busier, and more alive with every update.

Many of the systems currently being developed are part of the bigger journey toward the 1.0 release, which will introduce even more mechanics, cargo systems, and terminal equipment.

The terminal is only just beginning to grow.

Thank You for Your Support

Your feedback and support continue to help shape the development of Container Terminal Simulator.

Every update brings the terminal closer to becoming a fully realized logistics simulation, and there is still much more to come.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

See you at the terminal.
