Hello royals!
As the game turns 3, we have reached a little over 500,000 units bought or activated on Steam! This is a huge milestone for us. Back when we created Shotgun King over a weekend, we never thought the game could possibly reach so many people!
For us small indies, having such an audience is a huge privilege. We sincerely appreciate every last one of you all.
We've been meaning to give you some news for a little while now, and so we figured this was the perfect opportunity!
Not only are you numerous, you're also helpful! We got just about 2000 answers to the survey we posted back in January. That is much more than we were expecting and we thank you for that! The survey is now closed and we've taken some time to look through the results, and will do so again when we get around to do a new update for Shotgun King.
Some highlights from the results:
Of course this is only skimming the surface. We got a lot more stats that will be useful for us, and also so many suggestions and written feedback. Thank you so much!
So far this year we've been very busy creating new games. We've been making a new one every month, bringing our total number of games to 24 with the one we just finished for May. Doing this certainly doesn't make us as much money as working on Shotgun King, but we're really enjoying ourselves and every game is special to our eyes. We have 6 games that are not yet released on Steam but which you can wishlist if you like the sound of, or if you want to support us:
Besides wishlisting, please consider following our developper page so that you get notified whenever we announce or release a new game!
Of course all these games don't mean we're forgetting about Shotgun King! We still have a lot of love for the game and we're hoping to update it later this year, though we really can't tell you anymore than this for now.
We have heard reports that the game was having small issues again on Steam Deck and we'll be looking into this shortly. We appreciate your patience.
We also want to say that last year's massive update is finally on the way to consoles. The team who is working on it, Headbang Club, has been very busy with their own project DeathTower which was recently successfully funded on Kickstarter. We apologize on their behalf for the delay on the console update and here too we thank you for your patience!
Finally, to celebrate our studio's 4th birthday, our Discord community is organizing a competition with challenges on some of our games. One challenge is on the Shotgun King free demo, another is a mod-making competition that's open to beginner-modders, and some of the others are on other free demos for our games. The challenges were just announced on our Discord, which you'll have to join in order to participate. Everyone is very welcome to compete and we're looking forward to having you on our Discord server!
That's it for now!
Thank you all once again for your support! Much love.
