Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a development update on Urbanism and where things currently stand.
First, thank you for your patience and continued support. As a solo indie developer, I’ve been fully focused on fixing bugs, polishing systems, and making sure the overall experience feels stable, refined, and optimized. This process took longer than I initially expected, but it was necessary to deliver a higher quality game.
The game is now approximately 95% complete and entering its final stage of development.
Recent focus areas include:
• Bug fixing and stability improvements
• Performance optimization
• Quality of life improvements
• Gameplay flow adjustments and polish
Optimization has been a major priority.
On my RTX 4060 12GB system, the game is currently averaging 150–200 FPS, reflecting the level of performance tuning and rendering optimization that has gone into the project. My goal is to ensure Urbanism runs smoothly across a wide range of hardware.
Developing a game solo comes with challenges. I spent additional time tracking down difficult bugs, refining core systems, and making sure performance and stability meet the standard I want to deliver. Taking this extra time has significantly improved the overall experience.
Over the coming weeks, I will be:
• Finalizing the remaining polish
• Completing final testing passes
• Preparing launch materials
• Announcing a firm release window
The Steam store page has been live for some time, and I truly appreciate everyone who has wishlisted the game. If you haven’t yet, adding Urbanism to your wishlist helps visibility and ensures you’ll be notified when the release date is announced.
We are very close to the finish line. More updates soon.
Thank you for your support.
