Hello Drivers,
We've just hit 60,000 community members on Steam. That's a lot of people on the ride with us, enough to fill 1,400 buses! Before we jump into the news, we want to say thank you for being here, for your support, and for sticking with Drive Beyond Horizons.
Back in June, we promised to improve how we communicate with you. This post is part of that promise. Today, we want to share where we're at and where we're going.
We'll be honest: some early choices in development created challenges we didn't fully anticipate. That's why some bugs feels so heavy, and why quick fixes aren't always enough.
To solve this, we've split the team:
One group continues to support the public and beta versions with updates and fixes.
Another group is literally rebuilding parts of the game's foundations in parallel.
It’s a slower process, but it’s the right way to make DBH the game you deserve.
Since June, we've made key additions:
Lag, our new Community Manager, is here to make sure you hear from us more often, on Steam, Discord, but also on our social media plateforms. Expect regular updates and new ways to connect.
A new Producer, working behind the scenes to keep development structured so fixes and new content arrive more smoothly.
These changes won't magically fix everything overnight, but they'll make the ride ahead much smoother.
Our next big feature is already cooking: the Garage. You'll soon be able to:
Pimp your ride
Clean and maintain your car
Reclaim parts you've collected along the way
Our beta testers will get their hands on it first to make sure everything runs smoothly, and we'll share more details through a full update about it.
We can't promise miracles overnight, but we can promise consistency, transparency, and steady progress. The road ahead is long, but we're building it with you, step by step.
If you want to be part of the journey, join our Discord today and ride with thousands of fellow Drivers!
