Update & About Playtest Access

Dungeon Settlers · published 5 months ago

Hi! As scheduled, an update will be released today at April 2 (Thu), 2:00 PM UTC.

  • Tutorial improvements : Now you can choose to skip the overwhelming early learning text for a smoother onboarding experience.

  • Main scenario adjustments : Streamlined the main quest line to reduce tedious early tasks.

Note : saves will not be compatible after update

We previously limited access to first implement and validate these onboarding improvements with new players.

However, pending requests have now exceeded 5,000, far beyond expectations. After internal discussion, we’ve decided:

All users who requested access before today’s update will be granted Supporters Test access.

While we had concerns about exposing most of the current content, we ultimately chose to prioritize community growth and not disappoint those waiting to play.

In this context, for future 'Demo' releases, we are planning to limit certain parts of the content compared to the current playtest. For example, some research options, traits, region, and other systems may be restricted in the Demo version. This is intended to create a clear distinction between the Demo and the full game experience. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

Anyways, the update is coming, see you soon in the dungeon!
