Howdy, Explorers! We hope you've had an awesome April. It's getting warmer here in the Northern Hemisphere and we're looking forward to a great summer. And, hey, if it's still pretty grey where you are, you can always spend some time in the Sunken Sea or Desert of Beginnings until the real sun comes out to play! Here's what's been going on in our community spaces this month...
What can we say? We're a bunch of practical jokers 😂 We released some silly, made-up patch notes for Core Keeper...and then moorowl over on Reddit actually brought one of them to life in the form of a tiny, squeaking Glurch!

Did you manage to find all 8 eggs hidden away in this screenshot? We had a couple of people in the comments who thought they saw even more eggs than we hid! Turns out the Distilled Love potion is more egg-shaped than we realised.

Fredrik, our CEO, found one of the first sketches to ever conceptualise Core Keeper's world generation! Things have changed a lot since then, especially in terms of ore and material progression, but isn't it fun to look back at how far we've come?

Our Community Programs Coordinator, Cedric, spoke to the folks over at Feature Upvote and shared some insight into how we use our User Suggestions Board to keep aligned with our community and organise feedback! Read the interview here.

Can you spot it? 👀

If you're thinking of starting your very first underground adventure but want some tips and trips for beginners, then look no further!

"A little bit weird but made with love" - ST4BS

"Turn fishing into an epic treasure hunt! Fish are just the beginning — now you can catch valuable treasures, rare items, and seasonal surprises."
This mod by Parcew allows you to fish up 200+ new items that couldn't be fished before, including Sun Kelp, pet eggs, oracle cards, figurines, boss chests, and more...and it even lets you fish up seasonal items during seasonal events!

Gin has just released a tool to make it easier to work with custom tilesets in Core Keeper. Perfect for mod creators looking to make their own tilesets without having to worry about compatibility!
"It can be used to expand a 17-tile tileset into the full, 100+ tiles with variations the game expects. The tool handles generation, tileset format, arrangement, etc for you, meaning you can create a tileset, run it through the tool, and get a core keeper compatible texture or CoreLib ModTileset asset back that you can use directly."

A mod by moorowl that adds a bunch of new map markers to the game!
"The new map markers are found in a scrollable panel, accessed by clicking the arrow next to the vanilla map markers. Currently doesn't support controllers (maybe in a future update)."

Thanks for joining us for another community update! As always, don't forget to follow us on Discord, X, Bluesky, TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit for more Core Keeper news and announcements!
