Hello everyone, it's your favorite citrus back with an update.

With Next Fest drawing to a close, I wanted to take this moment to both thank everyone who's tried out the game and let you know what you can look forward to with the full release, coming to early access October 25th! (That's in less than 5 days!)

First of all, THANK YOU!

Next Fest has been huge for visibility. Over the past week it's been incredible to see how many folks have checked out the game, tried the demo, left comments, etc. I've gotten a lot of great feedback and it's been a blast hanging out with some of the streamers who tried out the game live. With all seriousness, from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone! With the sappy stuff out of the way, lets talk about:

What to expect from the FULL VERSION!

Many of you have been playing the crap out of the demo, even figuring out stuff I hadn't thought of (like using your money to get silver and gold early!) So, what should you expect from buying the full game?

More Metals

The full game will give you access to all 16 base elements, and all 100 possible alloys! In the demo, you only have access to tier 1 alloys (tier 2 if you figured out the coins). Now, you'll have access to all 5 tiers! But that's not all...

More Tools

The merchant will finally start selling you more stuff, including new tools to use in the workshop! I think you'll find some of these very useful. You'll also find new ingot mold types, which will let you unlock all 40 crafting recipes in the game! Among the merchant's wares, you'll also find:

Refinery & Furnace Upgrades

Leveling your Refinery will unlock new ores, more storage space, and faster refining, while leveling your Furnace will let you get it much hotter much faster, a much needed upgrade if you want to take advantage of the new ore.

And More!

It goes without saying, but as new content is added to the game, you'll gain access to all of it free of charge. There's still some really neat features I've yet to add, so let's talk about them!

What's to Come?

The game, as is, already has plenty to try, and I won't make any promises, but here's a preview of content I plan to add over the course of development!

More Ways to Play

Localization and controller support! Apologies to anyone who's first language isn't English, my lovely translator volunteers are working hard so hopefully some time soon you'll be able to play the game in your native language! I'll also be working on getting controller play supported, as well as more accessability options.

More Structures/Stations

I'm working on adding/re-adding more structures to the workshop! It may seem a bit empty now, but that's so there's room for all your new stuff in the future! A basin for quenching metal, scales, a grindstone, a polishing drum, and yes, a garbage can! Plus some other stuff, like perhaps a better way to transport items or mine stone without having to do it yourself?

More Villagers!

It gets lonely with only the merchant coming to visit! Right now I have 10 total unique npcs planned, who will offer you challenges, information, and new items! I hope you look forward to meeting them all.

And, you guessed it, MORE!

I don't want to reveal all my cards yet, but know that I've got even more stuff planned for the future, like late-game mechanics and new ways to play. Not to mention, I'm sure over the course of development plenty of new ideas will come from all of you, so let me know if you think of anything else you want to see added and it might just happen!

That's about enough out of me.

That about sums it up. Thank you again everyone for checking out my game. I'm the only dev working on it, and all the support I've gotten has meant a lot. I'll keep doing my best to make a great game, and I hope you all look forward to the early access release October 25th!!! (That's this upcoming Friday!!!)

That's all for now. Bye bye <3

PS. If you haven't already, consider joining the community Discord! It's the best place to reach me and learn more about the game.

In-game event23 Dec 2025Beta 3.40 : RebalancedHappy Holidays, everyone! Old St. Pinapl is here with a new update for you all. The focus this time has been re-balancing, tweaking, and wrapping up some unfinished business. Rather than make you wait even longer for another big update, I decided it might be better to release this smaller update so you don't have to wait as long to get something new. Without further ado, here's what's in the ne…Community25 Oct 20251 Year Anniversary RoadmapHello everyone! Today marks the 1 year anniversary of Alnico hitting early access!! Woo! I was hoping to have a fun update ready to release for today, but as usual between work and everything else, I have not been able to wrap things up like I wanted. As compensation, I hope you'll be satiated with this post where I'll go over everything that's currently planned for future updates! Big spoilers…Alnico SmitheryGame update27 Jul 2025Performance DebuggerI know many players have been experiencing inexplicable lag, slowdown, performance issues, etc while playing Alnico. Despite my best efforts, the issue has persisted since the game released. In an attempt to weed out the issue, I have made a debugging tool that you can run in your game to help try and determine what is causing the lag. Accessing the Debug Branch In order to access the debugger,…
