Pleasant Greetings, Soul Thieves!
Today we are bringing you an update to the visuals of our game. We have been experimenting with different lighting and graphics, and think we have found a sweet spot for readability and that special flair we have been aiming for. Our enemy has been reworked to unify their style with the surroundings and give us some flexibility to introduce new ones as the new maps are developed. We have also prettied up the forest itself, as it was long overdue for an update, with a new Spawn, trees, and terrain. The lighting has been adjusted to better highlight the enemy design and environment, though we welcome feedback as always to bring it in line with what works best for all.
On top of the world and enemy graphics, we are rocking some new weapon graphics for you all to inhabit! We have tried to make the guns stand out more, with unique designs meant to highlight their style and functionality. We wanted to move away from the bright solid colors of the original to give the weapons more of a developed look and bring a little more life to our exterminators.
These changes also go in alongside a plethora of balance fixes and Quality of Life features that we think will help you figure out just what you need to do to break the game a little easier! One of the bigger QoL changes is the addition of the trinket bag. This section will allow you to see all of your trinket effects in one place to get a better understanding of the effects being placed on you.
As always, the full patch notes are below for your inspection. Let us know through the usual channels about any feedback you have for the new weapons and stats, as well as any cool builds you can come up with to trivialize the pursuit of Souls!!
