Last Pirates: Die Together is Now in Early Access

Ahoy, pirates!

This is the one we have been building toward. Last Pirates: Die Together is officially in Early Access, and it is not a patch, it is a whole new tide. And to kick things off, we are launching at 20% off, just $6.39 until September 1. Two new chapters, a fresh wave of enemies, a companion who actually pulls her weight, and a game that looks better everywhere you point the camera.

It has been a long and stormy voyage to get here. We still remember the earliest prototypes, our first closed beta tests, that early milestone of 50,000 wishlists, and the unforgettable booty event that pulled the whole crew together. And now, here we are, sailing into Early Access with over 220,000 of you wishlisted and ready to set out!

Two brand-new locations join the run, each with its own mood and plenty of ways to get you killed. Aboard the Ship it is all tight decks and creaking rigging, with plenty of dark corners for something to be waiting in. Over at the Castle things get bigger and colder, packed with heavy loot to drag home, and big enough that we added elevators and funiculars to carry you around it.

The bestiary got mean, and a whole new cast has crawled aboard:

  • Ear: cannot see a thing, but it hears everything. Make a sound and it comes swinging.

  • Anchorer: deaf but sharp-eyed. It hooks you from range, reels you in, and throws you. Worst at mid distance.

  • Snake: no real attack, just a full-body squeeze that pins you in place. You can struggle free on your own, but a teammate tearing it off is quicker.

  • Crab: steals your loot and can even grab you and haul you off, so stay on your guard.

  • Parrot: harmless on its own, but one screech calls every enemy in earshot.

  • Sleeper: leave it sleeping. Wake it and it will not lose your trail.

And the one you kept asking for: the Mimic is finally the nightmare it was meant to be. It is almost impossible to tell from a real teammate, and worst of all it can speak in your friends' voices, calling you over with a warm, familiar "hey, over here" right before it takes your head off. Trust no one on this ship. Not even the voice you know. Oh... And rats... Well, just try to steal "your" loot from their king and regret after.

Upgrades, and a whole lot more

The cart got a full physics rework, and it can now knock down and run clean over anyone in its path, so point it at your friends, obviously.

On top of that there is a stack of new upgrades to chase for it, from the handy Organizer and the roomier Deeper Cart to the gloriously dangerous Cart Cannon. And if you would rather not haul alone, you can pick up a Monkey Assistant who trundles after you with her own cart, grabbing small loot and running it back to the boat while you handle the scary stuff.

More to grab

The loot got a glow-up too. There is a wider, more varied spread of treasure to hunt down out there now, and the larger items can finally be broken apart and carried out piece by piece, so nothing is too big to steal.

Something to do between screams

Not every moment has to be a fight for your life. Take a breather at the Bar, try your luck at Blackjack or the Slot Machine, settle a score over Air Hockey, bounce around on the Trampoline, scramble across the mast parkour, or just soak in the Jacuzzi with a bottle of rum in hand. And that is only a taste of what is scattered across the decks, so go poke around and find the rest yourself.

We turned the lights up

You told us it was too dark down there, and we listened. The whole game got a lighting and visual overhaul, so everything looks moodier and richer now, and reads far better in the dark.

Play a tune, look the part

Grab a Piano, Flute, or Guitar, start a band, and cheerfully alert every enemy on the map. New skins are in too, so the crew can look good while committing crimes.

Just washed ashore?

The built-in tutorial is finalized and ready. It teaches you the essentials: how to use your own long, stretchy hands, how to drink your rum properly, where to hand in your hard-earned treasure, and, most importantly of all, how to put your booty to good use. Hehe.

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined our Discord and keeps the channel alive. Your reports alone helped us close hundreds of issues on the way to this launch. And none of it happens without our publishing partners, Judatone Studios and Elegoose Games, and our marketing partner Palaye, who helped us reach new markets and were always glad to lend a hand.

Much love, and see you out on the water!

Community11 Sep 2026Our Window is Broken. The Work Isn'tAhoy, pirates. We love making games. We know exactly how to make Last Pirates better, and we work on it every single day. But some days, things get in the way. This morning a strike landed right next to our office in Kyiv. The window of the room where part of our team works is broken, the whole team is still shaken, and one of our colleagues was hurt, her arm is bandaged now.
