Highlights
- The game is now playable in German.
- A new hotkey shows every monster path and outlines all monster spawns at once.
- The quest display rotates now together with the camera.
Units
- Removed the Focused Burst augment (Chaincaster: double damage when its attack hit only a single monster) and the Swiftness augments (Void-Spawner and Binder: +1 Move Speed). They were flat number bumps rather than build-defining picks. All augment offers should be a genuinely interesting choice.
UX & QoL
- Added German. Select it in the settings.
- The quest display reads now more intuitively as a map. Each tile slot always stands for the same neighbor cell.
- Added a preview in the quest display when previewing a tile placement on a neighbor slot.
- The quest display rotates together with the camera so it keeps matching the board from any viewing angle.
- Added a "Show monster paths" hotkey that draws every spawn's monster path and outlines all spawns and monsters (unbound by default, assign it in the settings).
- Previewing a River tile placement now displays each monster path it would change.
- Previewing a manual trap placement (using the Preparation augment) now shows all crossing monster paths so you can see where a trap is worth placing.
- Hovering a tile, unit or monster now outlines it, so you can tell which object the current tooltip is about.
- Rewrote several augment and status effect descriptions to state their numbers directly, e.g. Light Strike now reads "Each attack on an Illuminated monster hits 6 times (instead of 3)" instead of "hits twice as many times".
- Tooltip stacks now stay fully expanded as long as they fit on screen and only compact when they would run off the screen.
- Adjusted the default camera position at the start of a level.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the first-ever level letting the first tile go on any base neighbor, then locking placement to the quest cell alone after an undo.
- Fixed the first-ever quest's "click to claim" pulse continuing after the quest display was clicked.
Note: Mid-level saves from the previous build still load, but a quest that was already revealed in that build may no longer be completable after resuming. Start such a level fresh if a quest looks stuck.
