Improving Building Mode

Hello Ranchers!

I'm excited to share some updates on our building system in our game. I’ve implemented a major change to switch from a free-form building system to a grid-based one. I hope that this improves the building experience making it easier and more intuitive for our players.

With the new grid-based system, players can snap things into place, ensuring that objects are properly aligned and maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout the world. Some objects will also be rotatable so that you can customize placements to your liking!

Additionally, this paves the way for more advanced building mechanics, such as the ability to stack objects or items on top of each other. For example, after placing a table, you would be able to place things on the table like bowls or cups, as well as place a rug below the table to enhance the decor.

I really like this animation for placing down plant pots - how it pops up, super satisfying.

As always, please let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions, and stay tuned for more updates!

Thanks,
Borispixel
