Heya,
I’m Suze, I’m a videographer, skater, and, uh. writer? I guess?? I mean, they’re paying me to write this, so… like, I’m not qualified for it, but I’m gonna put it on my resume. We’re all doing that, right? Just putting stuff on the ol’ resume and hoping that it actually counts. Urgh. Being an adult is… so weird sometimes.
Anyway. What was I here to say - oh, yeah! If you saw the Indie World last night, you might have spotted a bit of a cameo from yours truly (I’m still kind of reeling about that). Even better, Cammy and I actually filmed some of the footage for the trailer! Cammy is my camera, their full name is Cameron - I figured that if something has a face you should probably name it, right? They seem to appreciate it. I think. Honestly, I’m not sure how sentient they are, but I feel like that about a lot of people I know, so… whatever.
So, yeah, we had an absolute blast getting some shots for this new trailer - we got some seriously rad skate footage, obvs, but we’ve also been all round Radlandia filming. And look, I am not easily impressed (ask any of my friends), but viewing it through my camera really made me appreciate what a stunning island it is that we live in. Back home in Cloverbrook, I had got kind of used to the regular sights - giant bees, walking trees, mushrooms as big as a house. You know, just normal boring life stuff. But seeing it all again made me realise how beautiful it really is. Sunshine Valley is always sweet - literally, a lot of the time. Lots of ice-cream folks over that way. BurntRock is so vast, and wild - you can’t help but be impressed by the floating crystals and giant fossils. And BurntRockFest is the place to be if you’re into live music . Sketchside is… you know what, there’s a lot of toxic sludge there. So. If you like sludge, you’ll love it. That’s all I’m saying on that.

We also went somewhere else, but there’s a lady in a very legal-looking suit shaking her head at me, so I don’t think I’m allowed to mention that just yet. So, like… I dunno, if you want to see it, you’ll have to buy the game, I guess. Them’s the breaks.
Oh! The game - yeah, uh, pre-orders are open now, so… if you want to pre-order, then go do that. Or don’t, I dunno. I’m not the boss of you. Although, you do get some pretty sweet loot if you pre-order - you know, clothes and stuff. It’s pretty cool. Uh, oh, right, the legal lady is motioning for me to mention that the clothes are in the game, not in real life. We will not send you actual clothes.

She’s giving me a thumbs up now. Is that a smile? It doesn’t seem to come naturally to her...
Back to the point - OlliOlli World is releasing on the 8th of February 2022, and I hear that you’re going to have a chance to compete with people around the world and really put your skate skills to the test in Leagues mode, which sounds awesome. I love any chance to get competitive! Mind you, I heard this stuff about Leagues from Gnarly Mike, who also told me that the Skate Godz are going to be opening up portals to Gnarvana which you can skate through and share with friends, so… I dunno, take it with a pinch of salt, right?
Ok, I think that’s all I got for now, and look, I don’t like to be too enthusiastic about stuff - I have a reputation to maintain after all! But I think this game is gonna be awesome, and I’m super proud of my part in it. (Don’t tell anyone I said that, though.)
Later skaters,
Suze Steez
