Version 1.2.0: The Online Reconnect & Multiple CPUs Update

No Time to Relax · published 6 years ago

We've been working on this update for a while now. Getting reconnect working was analogous to battling the Kraken, our old network code required a lot of poking, prodding and testing.

But here it finally is! During all this testing we also decided to do a little bit of competitive balancing (see the list below).

We hope you enjoy these new features!

New Features

  • Added the ability to reconnect to online games after disconnecting or quitting.
  • You can now battle against multiple CPU players in local games (up to 3 CPUs at the same time).
  • Reduced the penalty given by the Slow Down curse in competitive.
  • Curses now require a one week cool-down in competitive. I.e. the same curse can not be bought two weeks in a row.
  • Zombies can no longer break into the Fancy Apartment. Making your furniture safe from thieves and zombies!
  • Added a Help button at the top of the screen while playing. Pressing it will show the Help Menu for your current context.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed missing Chinese symbols.
  • Updated incorrect Icelandic translation for the Victor card in Marathon mode.
  • Fixed bug where using touch could cause you to go to an incorrect building.
  • Fixed bug where the Refresh button in the Online Game Browser only showed new games.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause two different ambiance audio tracks to play at the same time in Menus.
  • Fixed the resolution of the Victory Machine in the End Game Score Screen.
  • Fixed a bug where some achievements were not counted correctly if the player quit the game before finishing it.

This is what we are calling the "Spring Cleaning" update and while this project has a lot of changes, you are unlikely to notice most of them. What it entails is us getting the project running on the newest versions of Unity. Development of No Time to Relax began in 2017 , with what was then the newest version of Unity. It's been almost 10 years since and…In-game event27 Jan 2026Version 1.3.1 - The Online Regions UpdateThis was originally supposed to be a part of a bigger update that we have been planning but as the other half of our No Time to Relax development team fell out of a tree and broke his programming hand we felt it would be best to get this out ASAP. What this update has is Regions in online play! You can choose from Asia Pacific, Europe, North-America and South-America. We really hope that this w…
