Welcome to the world of RadCity! Today I want to share some progress on the world and content, as well as some news for the beginning of the year.

  • a demo is nearly ready and will be available on 10th of February.

  • the game is taking part in Steam Next Fest starting on 23rd of February.

  • while a lot of the game content is done, it's still a work in progress with many cool things to add so any feedback is greatly appreciated.

RadCity takes place in an unnamed city in Eastern Europe, two years after nuclear war with the use of radioactive dirty bombs.

You'll visit derelict industrial buildings like factories, depots, railyards and more, in a bleak broken world. You'll scavenge them for food, for needed items in missions, you'll solve environment puzzles, gain access to hidden areas and discover the stories of other survivors.

Most locations are inspired by real places here in Romania, urbex locations, photographed, and created in 3D. The coolest parts of these are rehashed, they're given interiors and made into something that fits the industrial and post-apocalyptic setting of the game - the rust, the metal, the neglect:

Most gameplay systems are done and content is on track to be finished for a late 2026 release. Keep an eye out for the demo release in 3 weeks!

Thanks for reading,

babadokia

Community1 Aug 2026August UpdateHello friends, here's what's new in August for RadCity: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure! Content is about 80% complete . New completed areas are the CET power plant , the railway roundhouse , the bus garage and more. The only big locations left are the subway tunnels and train station (in the last third of the game). There are some side missions left to implement, but at this point the first 2/3 o…Community1 Jun 2026June UpdateHello friends, here are some new updates for June in the development of RadCity: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure! Most development time is now spent on creating content - art, locations, polishing, adding missions, testing, retesting. Gameplay wise a lot of systems are basically done, like interactions or the menu (now with save slots, character selection, controls) and a lot of code has been opti…Community1 Apr 2026April UpdateHere's what's new for april on developing RadCity: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure. After adding WASD support, the hold-click to move has been reworked to use pathfinding . No more falling off bridges! Another big complaint in the demo was the camera - tall buildings obscured the view. Now the game uses an occlusion mask to fade out the biggest view obstacles. Also added are clearer visual markers…
