"Waiting for Audioshield" hang bug fixed
To get the fix, opt-in to the SteamVR Beta. Here's how to do that: If you were one of the players sometimes getting stuck seeing "waiting for Audioshield" in the middle of songs, that problem is gone now! The old workaround of disabling haptics is no longer needed. Also, there's new collectibles in SteamVR Home this week - including an Audio Shield.
Audioshield just got an update that adds Favorites to the song browser list. You can add songs to your Favorites after finishing them. Audioshield just got a small update that moves Recent Songs to the top of the song browser list and adds support for a larger number of recent videos. The idea is to show more players the songs they want to play right when the game starts. A list for favorite songs is a good suggestion too - I'm looking into that. Audioshield now comes bundled with 8 songs from Hamster Alliance, _ensnare_, and Aaron Jasinski! These tracks are hand-picked for being some of my favorite experiences in the game. These songs are avilable under the Recommended list in the song browser. This update also moved My Music and Recent Songs higher in the list to help bring attention to those ways to find music. Local music files still work great, but online streaming isn't working in Audioshield right now. A big streaming update is almost ready and will be released soon!
