JULY Dev Update!

What's new for July ? Despite the heat I was really busy with the game this month! LOTS OF LEVEL ART THIS MONTH : I've really progressed and have now a general idea of what ACT2 and ACT3 will look like. A PERSISTANT ENEMY I've spent a lot of time perfecting this type of enemy that is not like the other. While most of the creatures you'll meet in the BACKWORLDS will fall for your tricks and park…

APRIL Dev Update!

Hey! So you wouldn't believe this since I post so little, but I've been working full time on the project since the release of AUTO-CRISIS. From now on I'll post an update every other months here and on bluesky. A PARKOUR GAME The demo featured a number of moves you can expect from a 3d platformer, but I think it needed a little more to really be able to be called a Parkour Game. Thanks to the h…

Resuming THE BACKWORLDS development

Hello everyone! It's a bit dusty in here so I want to thank anyone who are still around. WHERE I'M AT Like I said last post, my goal has always been to deliver short quality and original horror games, and THE BACKWORLDS while small in scope, was a bit too big investment of time for me without being sure to be able to release it. This is why I took a one year break from this game to release a sm…

A new game : AUTO-CRISIS and BACKWORLDS' OST previews

AUTO-CRISIS I've been very busy. My goal has always been to deliver short quality horror experiences, that's why I learned to code and develop on Unreal - but I've never released a game with a price tag and realized I needed that experience. That's why I've been working on a shorter game called AUTO-CRISIS ! AUTO-CRISIS will release around March! A demo will be available in January. This will a…

Next-Fest 2024 + Dev Update

About the demo Hey, this is Pablo, the developper of The Backworlds. If you see this post because of the Next-Fest, welcome! I'm really glad of the positive feedback I recieved for the demo released a few months ago and I'm working towards completing the game. I'm mostly a one man team and I never sold a game. So It's taking a little while to learn the in and out of the industry in that departm…

Demo Update v1.1.2

First, thanks for all the feedback that was given for the Demo! Here is a small update fixing the most common problems that players faced: · Tower section reworked for better visibility and difficulty. · Generally added more markings to guide the player through the level. · Fixed a bug where it wouldn’t load the level if you fell out early on in the game. · Default Mouse sensitivity is now lower.
